If you could bring back one bad guy from the Void who has died their final death in, say, the past twenty years in-game, who would it be? How about one hero you could bring back from the Void?
Since I expect in-game responses to this will be radically different from the out-of-game responses, please specify IG or OOG as you answer.
Thanks! Cindy Dees |

(In-Game)
Why would I ever desire for an enemy to be brought back. We sent them away for good reasons, and I can't think of a single one of them that the reasons have stopped being good. There are too many heroes that I long to see again, for me to choose just one. I will see them again, when I return to the void. Until then I can only carry on the work they died supporting.

(Out-of-Game) For bad guys it's a toss-up. I'd like to see the Elemental Furies and the Emperor both. I enjoyed the battle against the Elementals and the Empire both about equally.
For good guys, there are way to many PCs to list. For an NPC, Govenor Richard.

OOG: Bad Guy: Any of Tim's NPC's Pierre, Prestyr Hero: Not sure yet IG: Hero: Mika Bad Guy: The Dark One With the lack of excitement in Dupree these last couple of years. I would crazy to turn down a nature-y adventure that featured a high risk of death, little treasure, and lots of boring talking.

IG: Since the question is "if", I would bring back not one of the villains we sent to a final death. To do so would disgrace the memories of those who have died sending them there. If I had to bring back an ally, well Mika or Chaser would be my choice.
OOG: Villain-- none, same answer. new ones! Hero: same answer |

OOG: All together now, Texans: C O N N E R! He was a great character and died way too soon in a meaningless death that could have been prevented.
There are many, many other PCs from over the years with whom I enjoyed role-playing, including some who also died before reaching their full potential or with unfinished business, such as Sebastian, Tomikine, Sonja Rosa, Captain Minoa and Expendable.
And as much as I might miss them, I would NOT want to bring back anyone who chose to die for a cause, including those who died to perm Senchi, as that would cheapen their sacrifice. Nor would I want to bring back any enemies we have defeated, for the same reason, and also because it gets old fighting and beating the same enemy over and over again. (Fighting and losing is different.) (Speaking of fighting and beating, are we ever going to get to finish that Sariss plotline, Chris?)
As for NPCs: Any enemy we have defeated that would get brought back out of the void will just start making us feel like there is no point in the struggle any more if any defeated enemy can just show up again at any time.

OOG: Is the MA Chapter a valid answer?
Heroes - Mika Ona Sebastian Valmore
Villains: If I had to pick, I have to pick Clive/Clyve (not sure on spelling or if I got the name right), not sure on spelling. I figure anyone who knows how to kill off an entire population of a town to harness its spiritual energy, control a drake, AND build a minotaur mind maze, would have a way to escape the Void. The Dark One is a good choice, but we kept going to his non-evil ghost, so he's not technically gone. Still, could be fun to see someone harness the power he once had or something. I am fairly confident we didn't kill all his minions. I may be wrong about that.
As for the Elemental Furies, can they even die? I was told, and I may have been misinformed, that they can be destroyed, but they'll reform eventually. Like I said, I may have been misinformed, as it has been years since the Tide Ripper fight.
Probably should have confirmed the Emperor's death while we were in Koth. I mean for all we know, the guy could be being kept alive with some sort of crazy magic or alchemy or device and he just weak, injured and really angry. |

heroes: the hunter - he was killed by the dark one iirc, i'd actually like to bring back the dark one as a hero
PC's, alan's character that was buried in the grove of heroes, i think it was chaser
villain's: someone high up from OOTB - bring them back to LIFE, seriously, so that they weren't undead anymore. see what happened then... the emperor would also be a good choice, not because i think we could ever defeat him ourselves but because that was a major plotline for years and it would be interesting to get back into that slug-fest - remember the slugs =) that was a different kind of weekend, it would be fun to see a new batch of pc's have to deal with that. |
